UNBEATEN WEEKEND FOR THE DEAN

19 May 2009

The weekend saw the four Cookham Dean sides emerge unbeaten, claiming three wins and a draw.

The First XI drew against Chalfont St Peter. Chalfont batted first and hit 250-4 from 40 overs. Cookham were never really in the hunt for the runs but Sav Gandesha made a patient 48 and Christian Austin provided a useful cameo of 33 not out as they played out the draw.

The 2nds skittled Newbury 2nds for 77 with Richard Bibby taking six wickets and Ollie Freeman three. Mark Fish top scored with 29 as The Dean struggled in response, eventually winning by four wickets.

Both Sunday sides claimed fairly comfortable wins against Stoke Green ad Fiddlers respectively.
