The 1st and 2nd teams have their final pre-season friendlies before the Thames Valley League season kicks off. The 1sts host Sonning and for them, Paul Farnborough makes his first appearance of the season after keeping a low profile recently. Keeper and key batsman Clive Lambden plays his first game of the season. They replace Mark Jones and Sav Gandesha in the line up. Off-spinning all rounder Gandesha is currently struggling with an illness, a similar one to the one that 3rd team captain Jonathan Gay suffered from recently. The 2nds travel to recently relegated Chalfont St Peter and hand a Saturday debut to Aaron O'Donoghue who has finally completed his switch from Stokenchurch. Guy Glover keeps wicket and there is a first Saturday appearance for a couple of years for Roger Evans.
