FIRSTS ON BRINK OF PROMOTION WHILST SECONDS SAFE

In a huge game at Home Park on Saturday, Cookham Dean (who were missing 3 key first team players) beat Windsor 2s to put themselves in a great position going into the final round of fixtures. Dean are now 16 points ahead of third place, so need 10 points to guarentee promotion. Cookham batted first and made 184 all out, with Tom Bibby top scoring with a well made 69. In reply, Sav Gandesha bowled brilliantly taking 4 wickets - 2 of which were caught at short leg by Rory Millar. With the score on 150-9, Pres Patel took the final wicket to ensure a vital 25-point win.

Meanwhile the seconds are now guarenteed division 6 cricket next season and currently lie 5th. In a tense game, Boyne Hill made 197-7 and in reply Cookham finished on 197-9, 1 run short of victory whilst Boyne Hill were 1 wicket away from victory. The main contributors in the run chase were Guy Glover who made 53, and Mark Fish who did well making 45 not out.
