05 Aug 2008

Both Sunday games were washed out with Cookham looking well placed for victory in both games.

At Wooburn, the 1sts scored 231-8 from their 40 overs with Tim Hipgrave top scoring with 78 not out, his first 50 since returning to the club in 2007. He was well supported by Imran Butt who got 34 while Mike Cutting, Paul Farnborough and Ollie Freeman also made useful contributions. Wooburn were struggling at 71-3 before the rain came.

The Sunday 2nds bowled Eversley out for 158 with Sav Gandesha taking 6-27 and Rory Millar 2-20. In the run chase Cookham were cruising at 89-0 off 15 overs (Gandesha scoring his first 50 of the season) before the umpires called a halt to procedings.
