WEEKEND TEAM NEWS

01 Aug 2008

The 1st team will be looking to bounce back from three straight defeats as they take on league strugglers Bagshot 2s at Ricketts Field on Saturday. Jake Richardson comes into the side in the absence of Tom Bibby while Rory Millar holds on his place with Tom Rosenthal still away. Despite the recent struggles, there is still a chance of promotion with games such as this one must-win games.

The 2nds make two changes with Nick Borland replacing Mark Fish and Mike Cutting in for Simon D'Ardenne. Andy Pett captains the side with both Fish and regular skipper Shaun Glover away. The 2nds are up against Ruislip who look certain to finish in the top two of Division 6A and will be looking to avenge the defeat earlier on in the season when they were skittled for 83. Ruislip are led by former Cookham Dean player Bipin Patel.

There are only two Sunday sides this weekend with the 1sts travelling to Wooburn Narkovians and the 2nds hosting Eversley. The likely 1st team is: Simon D'Ardenne, Imran Butt, Paul Farnborough, Ollie Freeman, Mike Cutting, Tim Hipgrave, Mark Powell, Paul Farnborough, Christian Austin, Mike Knowles-Leak and one other.

The 2nds have a very strong looking side as they look to even things up against Eversley after they were crushed by their academy side earlier on in the season. They look set to line up like this: Chris Kellaway, Sawan Gandesha, Arun Brar, Rory Millar, John Gay, Jonathan Gay, Jim Rosenthal, Andrew Millar, Paul Taylor, Charlie Bond and Dave Hazell.
