SATURDAY SIDES UNBEATEN RUN COMES TO AN END

12 Jul 2008

Cookham Dean's long unbeaten run was finally ended as both Saturday sides slipped to defeat. At OMT, the first team bowled the home side out for 153 with Imran Butt claiming five wickets. After losing the top six cheaply, Cookham never really recovered and despite some late hitting from Chris Nunn were bowled out 16 runs short of victory. This leaves the firsts 3rd in a very tight Division 4A.

The 2nds lost to bottom-side Marlow Park after being bowled out for a below-par 180. Jake Richardson top-scored with 52. After removing the openers quickly, Cookham's bowlers struggled and Marlow Park eventually claimed a 7 wicket win. The 2nds drop to 6th in Division 6A.
