Cookham Dean CC enjoyed a solid weekend of results with the Saturday sides sharing a win, a draw and a defeat while the Sunday side picked up a win.
The 1st XI had the better of a draw against Harefield 2s.
Jon Stewart carried his bat for 107 in only his second league appearance for the Dean. His major support came from
Tom Bibby who made 67 as Cookham posted 237 for 8. Harefield got off to a decent start but when wickets began to fall they quickly shut up shop for the draw. They ended on 157-8 with
Chris Nunn's four wickets and
Justin Rodgie's two unable to force a win for their side.
Jake Richardson's 2nd XI picked up an impressive win at Marlow Park with
Patrick Castleden's century and
Rob Mettler's 50 the mainstay of their successful run chase of 235.
James Taylor and
Andrew Pett picked up three wickets each in the Park innings.
The 3rds received a hammering at the hands of NPL Teddington who were 167-0 before collapsing to 227 all out.
Magesh Dev and
Daniel Matthews the pick of the bowlers with four wickets. The 3s slumped to 32-7 in reply before the lower order gave them some sense of respectability as they were eventually all out for 98.
Sunday saw CDCC beat Perivale Phoenicians by four wickets at Ricketts Field. The visitors batted first and were all out for 142.
James Taylor the pick of the attack with 4-25 while there were two wickets each for
John Smith and
Mark Jones.
Simon D'Ardenne's 55 anchored the Cookham response and they eventually won with around 3 overs to go.
