Match report The John Platt trophy was retained in style as Cookham battered local rivals Holyport in a one sided affair.
Not too much to say about the game except that all of of Cookhams bowlers delivered with everyone taking a wicket, the picks being Taylor 3 for 2 and Kulvinder 3 for 6 with Steve Hunter taking two great catches at slip along with an outstanding grab from young keeper Lawson.
Holyport opener Hakeed bowled well and took the wickets of Kennedy and Lawson, Gerge keylock was the only other wicket to fall but fortunately his Dad (producer of the keylock cricketing genes dynasty) held firm and the visitors knocked off the 71 needed in just 12 overs.
Skipper Taylor clutched the trophy at the end of the game and said "I'm proud of the boys, they were a ruthless cricketing machine"......................he then politely declined the Holyport offer of a 20/20 match and headed home to watch the ODI.
