Match report Maidenhead & Bray won the toss and put Cookham into bat. The opening bowlers Rav and Sav bowled very well, reducing us to 9 for 3 after the first 4 overs, but then conditions got a little easier and some partnerships began to develop. James (13) and Marcus (2) put on 14, then Jack (14) and Charlie (8) put on an excellent 40 together, and Finn (14) played nicely through to the end, when he was last out with the score on 99 in the final over (annoyingly 1 short of an additional bonus point).

Marcus and Eddie also bowled very well reducing M&B to 17 for 3 after their first 4 overs - game on! The middle order of Zach Freddie and Rav gradually rebuilt, though, and were ahead of the run rate for most of the chase even though we kept taking wickets and were very close to getting a crack at the tail. Rav's power was the deciding factor as he hit 5 fours to take them over the line with 3 wickets remaining. The bowlers were all good. Marcus, Eddie and Sam took 2 wickets each and Aradhya was unlucky to only get one. Some excellent catches too, by Eddie (2), Charlie and Marcus.

An enjoyable game against a fairly evenly matched side. The difference in the end was that M&B had a bit more size and power in their batting line-up - hitting 12 boundaries to our 6.
