Match report Our first friendly of the year against Pinkneys Green, who were boosted by our generous loan of Jeevan plus Eddie Cotter making a guest appearance (literally - he came along as a guest and was pressed into service) in order to even the sides at 10 players each.

PG won the toss and decided to bat. Jeevan and Youssef saw off a hostile opening spell from Jack and Harry before handing over to the middle order for some power hitting which boosted the score well above a hundred before captain Johnny finally brought himself on and took a swift 5-for including a double hatrick (four wickets in four balls)! Despite this poor finish, PG set us a formidable target of 140 to win.

Our innings never really got going in the face of good line-and-length bowling by PG. Leg-spinner Zach took a 5-for of his own leaving finally just Josh to see out the final 5 overs on his own to bring a little respectability to our score.

A well-deserved win by PG. We play them in another friendly at the Odney Club on Thursday and will aim to get revenge.
