Match report On a cool but pleasant afternoon, which would have felt like a high summer to our visitors from Ilkley (!), a very enjoyable game of slow motion cricket was had by all - with the pace only quickened as the smell of the BBQ made it out to the middle.

Whilst the experienced stalwarts pushed and prodded around, the three young lions of CDCC proved Alan Hansen wrong once again - you can win with kids ! Determined bowling, committed fielding, and selfless running from Izzy Lawson on senior debut supported a well crafted 37 from Sai (including a beautifully timed clip off his legs for four as shot of the day) and a patiently timed 32 (including an all run four) from Harrison Atkinson to lead the old uns home with a whole ball to spare

At which point, sausages and beer became the main focus of the evening

Cricket was the winner, and our guests will be welcome any time
