Match report The Seconds’ TVL debut ended in a high scoring draw on a typically flat Marlow Park wicket. Cookham batted first and Jake Richardson and Shaun Glover (29) gave the visitors a solid start. Once Glover was dismissed, Arun Brar joined Richardson at the crease and they shared a mammoth partnership as Richardson brought up his ton while Brar made 75. Some lusty blows from Andy Murdoch (30 not out) guided Cookham to the imposing total of 295-5.
On such a lifeless wicket it was always going to be a struggle to bowl Marlow Park out but the bowlers stuck to their guns and did reasonably well. Most of the home sides batsmen got starts, with Weston and Harris both making 50s. The wickets were shared around 6 bowlers with Andy Pett claiming two. Marlow Park eventually batted out the overs and finished on 242-7.
