Match report Missing a number of key players, the boys played well against a strong Finch side but ultimately came up short.

Finch won the toss and opted to bat. They kept wickets in hand but never managed to cut lose against some tight bowling and fielding, and finished their innings on 116 for 5 off their 20 overs. This set a reasonably achievable target. In reply, the boys batted bravely, but the pace of county bowler Oscar Clark and the spin of Tom Lawton-Davies meant we lost wickets regularly and fell behind the run rate, ultimately ending up all out in the penultimate over for 86 runs.
