Match report A good win against a strong side in our first Berks league match of the season. Batting first in a reduced 15-over contest, we lost Ben C early, but then James, Zac and Jamie batted well to take us to 68 for 2 halfway through the tenth over. Zac's retirement then led to a batting collapse - losing 6 wickets for 6 runs - before Tom and Duncan shored up the innings and, with a returning Zac, managed to get us up to a creditable total of 98 for 9 off our 15 overs.

In reply, county player Hamza Butt played some lovely shots on the way to a rapid retirement on 33 runs, but after that the bowlers exerted their control and some very good team fielding helped restrict the runs and take regular wickets, with the returning Hamza eventually last man out as Boyne Hill came up 13 runs short.
