Match report Cookham Dean 3s had to settle for the better of a draw in an entertaining game against Farnham Common 3s at Odney. Cookham batted first having won the toss and skipper Jonathan Gay and Mike Cutting set about their task well through some accurate Farnham Common bowling. Having played themselves in, the boundaries started to flow before Cutting fell for 53 caught at cover in an opening stand of 99. Karthik Raghavan joined his captain at the crease and was going well until he top edged one to short fine leg for 12, the first of Isaac Dibsdall's seven victims. John Barnett fell lbw first ball and Gay followed soon after for 65 to a good catch at mid off. Mark Jones struck some lusty blows in a quick 20 while Dan Ford (8) and Gerry Spencer (22 not out) put on a useful partnership to take Cookham past 200. Ten-man Cookham were eventually bowled out for 220.

Seth Munn (3-28) removed Kirby with his first delivery as the top order put up little resistance to find themselves 35 for 3. Mick Stearn (50) provided a calming influence however and he combined well with the agressive Bujakowski (16) and his skipper Sandeep Bassi. The away side were always behind the required run rate but with a short boundary on one side and Cookham's missing fielder began to tell as Bassi began to up the rate. Cookham claimed a couple of late wickets before Farnham Common ended on 208-7, 13 runs short of victory.
