Match report Cookham Dean 2nds moved to the top of Division 5B after a 50 run win over Yateley. Cookham got off to a poor start as Yateley ripped through their top order to leave them in all sorts of trouble at 43 for 4. Christian Austin and Jack Heald, in his first innings for the club, combined and began to take The Dean's score towards some respectability. They added 106 before Austin departed for 33. By now, Heald was in particularly belligerent form and was striking the ball well. Gopi Nerellakunta (11) provided some useful support and Heald brought up his centry before falling for 110. His innings contained 8 4s and 6 6s as he set the pace for the club's Bigun league! Cookham eventually finished on 244 for 9 off 51 overs with Moran-Wardle (4-75) the pick of the home side's bowling attack.

Austin removed Howells for 0 but Soames and Rawat set a solid platform for Yateley to take their side to 75-1. Heald showed his ability with the ball however to remove them both in quick succession. Handcock (39) and Moran-Wardle (23) showed some resilience to take their side 174 for 5. However, the return of Austin saw him hoover up the tail rapidly as Yateley succumbed in the penultimate over for 194. Austin claiming 5-43 from 14.3 overs.
