Match report Cookham Dean 3rds fell to a 108 run defeat at the hands of promotion chasing Hillingdon Manor 3s on Saturday. Hillingdon won the toss and chose to bat first but struggled initially as Ben Green and Mike Cutting bowled well for the Dean. The home side were scoring slowly at 43-3 off 20 overs before Sherai and Kaviswanathan (batting with a runner after apparently injuring his hamstring) upped the run rate. The latter's dismissal for 84 sparked something of a collapse as the lower order fell hitting out. This allowed youngster Green to pick up best senior figures of 4-47 from 11 overs. Satpal Singh also bowled well to claim 2-46 as Hillingdon Manor finished on 228 for 8 from their 52 overs.

Cookham's innings never really got going as wickets fell at regularly intervals despite a number of batsmen making it into double figures. Henry McCreery impressed with 27 as Cookham could only muster 120 all out.
