Apologies for taking my time in releasing the much anticipated gents
dinner date, but I can confirm that Friday 12th April is the big night.
We have the same caterers as last year who really excelled and offered
us great value for money. We are working on our guest speaker but we
will do our best to maintain the calibre we have come to expect!
I have copied the menu for the evening below, so please have a look and
confirm your attendance by letting me know your meal choices. The cost
for the whole evening will be £35, which I will be collecting before the
event.

The speaker has been confirmed as former Somerset and Derbyshire stalwart Peter Bowler.
Born in Devon but brought up in Australia, Bowler (who was actually a batsman) scored nearly 20,000 First Class runs at an average of just over 40 and racked up an impressive 45 centuries in a career that ran from 1986 to 2004.
