The Club is very sad to advise that George Allard, a long standing member of the Club has passed away.

George was Club Captain in 2007 and 2008, Sunday 2nd Team Captain 2004-06, a graceful opening bat who  bowled gentle off spin. As Club Captain he helped the Club transition into the TVL in 2008.

As a  Captain he always tried  to give as many he could  an enjoyable game. His son Markie also played  for a number of years.  He was a popular mentor of the younger generation, supporting those who subsequently took on leadership roles within the Club

On the Committee he started raising Club funds by seeking sponsorship from local Companies.

He was larger than life character and great company who will be so missed by the Club. In the last few years he travelled the  world but on his trips back he would visit the club and umpire occasionally.

Our thoughts go out  to Vicky, Markie and all his family who will miss him greatly.

The family intend to host a Celebration of George’s life at the Club and as soon as details are known,  members will be advised
