Firstly a big thank you to those who attended both the Autumn Quiz and the Christmas social at the end of last year and supporting your club throughout the winter months. It's great to see so many social and playing members connect outside the cricket season and bring in some, much-needed cheer during the cold weather. 

 

We are going to continue running events right up to the start of the cricket season and during to get us all together outside of the competitive summer Saturdays and Sundays. Before the season starts, we will also be launching our Fantasy cricket league, so keep your eyes peeled for more information on how to take part and win some more prizes for knowing the best performing 11 out of our 4 league men's and ladies sides. 

 

Talking of the next social event...

 

The race night, hosted by Cookham Dean CC will follow a very usual structure for those that have attended events like this in the past. 

 

We will have 8 horse races being shown throughout the night in which your job is to pick the winner based on the conditions and form laid out to you. You can then bet on your favourite to win and depending on the number of bets made, if your horse wins, you will win some money back! 

 

You can also before the event buy a horse. Reach out to me and I can give you more information about the event, the horses and how you can win yourself some helpful change at the end of January. 

 

The bar will be open from 6:30, so even if you are not into your betting you can come to grab a drink and socialise with friends that you may not have yet seen in the new year.
