THAMES VALLEY CRICKET LEAGUE ECB ANNUAL SURVEY

25 Jul 2017

Hi all,

Please see below message from the Thames Valley Cricket League regarding the annual ECB survey. Please complete it to give an opportunity for the league to hear your views!

Thanks,

Jonathan Gay

Club Captain

The annual ECB Player Survey is now live, see link below.
This year it contains some TVCL s
pecific questions on bowling restrictions
and using the ol
d ball in the second innings (see note below), as well as
some more generic cricket questions on format, start times and length of
match. The TVCL management committee will be analysing the re
sults of the
survey in September and will then make proposals to this year's AGM based
on the results - so it is absolutely vital that as many TVCL players as
possible fill in the survey. Please could you therefore promote this to
the players in your clubs and teams.

The ECB are offering entry into a prize draw for everyone who completes
the survey with the following prizes:

 A Bowling Machine
A Club visit by Mike Gatting
A Signed Cricket Bat by both the 2017 England and South Africa teams
A Signed England Shirt by the England team from a 2017 Test Match
2 x Pairs of Tickets for England vs West Indies at Trent Bridge on 21
September 2017

N.b. we asked for a question about the 'old ball rule' to be included in
the survey. It has been - but has not unfortunately been very well worded.
It asks about your 'enjoyment' of this rule and gives you three choices in
your answer: 'very important', 'somewhat important' and 'not important'.
What we really wanted to ask was whether you wanted to keep or scrap this
rule, so please answer 'very important' if you want to keep it and 'not
important' if you want to scrap it.

Best wishes,
