The 2017 Thames Valley League fixtures have been confirmed for our four senior league teams. The season will start on 6th May and finish on 2nd September. All fixtures are available to view on the fixtures section of the website.
After relegation last season, the 1st XI return to TVL Division 1 with an away game at Cove. The following week sees us face Gerrards Cross at home, who were also relegated from the Home Counties last season. There is local interest with derby matches against Boyne Hill and Marlow while the season closes away at Stoke Green.
The 2nd XI open their season in Division 4b under new skipper Richard Lucas at home to Amersham 3 who were promoted last season. This is followed by a trip to Farnham Royal the following week. Marlow 2s, North Maidenhead 2s and relegated Wooburn Narkovians are the local derbies and Stoke Green 2s provide the opposition in the final week of the season.
The 3rds will start life in Division 6a after promotion with a home game against Burnham 4s followed by a trip to bogey side Eastcote 4s the week after. Boyne Hill 3s are the local rivals and the 3rds will face a 1st XI for the first time when they come up against Farnham Common. Their season finishes with a home game against Barnes Wild Geese.
The 4th XI have been moved to Division 9a after playing last season in 9b. The season opens with an away trip to Cove 5s and then Wokingham 5s the following week. Not a huge amount of local interest in this division with Wargrave 3s the nearest fixture. That's where the 4s will travel to on the last day of the season.
Sunday fixtures will be confirmed in due course as well as the draw for the Village Cup. We have also entered the new Berkshire Cup this season and have been drawn at home to West Reading of The Berkshire League, date to be confirmed.
